National Net (Public Records Database Search)


BrightScreen's National Net product, commonly known as a National Criminal Database-Alias search, is designed to cast a wide net across thousands of data sources to help guide our research efforts.

Components of the National Net

The three (3) components that make up the National Net search are:

SSN Trace

Uses public credit data to discover previous address history of the applicant beyond those addresses disclosed to BrightScreen by the applicant.
Uses public credit data to build a list of known and possible alias names beyond those aliases disclosed to BrightScreen by the applicant.
A comprehensive search of more than 2,500 databases across the United States and internationally, including:
  1. Criminal record sources
  2. Sex offender registries
  3. Sanction, exclusion, and/or watch lists
